Mookaite, also known as Mookaite Jasper, is a mineral that can contain fossils! The only known location of Mookaite is the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia, near Mooka Creek and it formed at least 145 million years ago. It is an Aboriginal mother earth stone thought to increase the life force within the physical body. The Aboriginal term Mooka means running waters, referring to the natural springs that feed the area.
